Measure a pair that already sits
If you own indoor glasses that work, copy the three numbers. Dropping 4–6mm of lens width from a standard 54 is often the whole fix. A 16–17 bridge saves a small or low nose that a 20mm fashion sun will skate down.
Try-on test: the outer rim should land at the side of the face, not mid-cheek, and not hanging in air. Temples should not flare.
Shapes that scale down
Small wayfarers, small rounded rectangles, and oval metal. Full-size aviators in 58mm will swamp a narrow head; 52mm aviators exist. Cat-eyes can work if the wing does not overshoot the temple.

Narrow-fit, extra-small, and some Japanese and Scandinavian lastes. $50–$160. Return policies matter more than brand, because a 2mm bridge error is the whole purchase. Large-face advice is the opposite problem — do not take width tips from that page.

- Adult extra-small is better optically and in size range. Kids’ pairs can work for a spare if they are UV400 and not a toy tint.

- Can I get progressives in a small sun frame?
- Only if lens height is still 28mm+. Many small fashion frames are too shallow. Indoor progressives, clip-on sun.
