Heat is the silent killer
A closed car in sun easily passes 60–70°C. Acetate creeps. Glue in laminated polarized lenses can slip. A metal pair survives the heat better and still cooks the coat. Glovebox is better than dash; a bag that comes inside with you is better than either.
Beach: a case in the shade, not on a black towel. Sauna: they stay outside. Ski lodge radiator: same.
Cases, pouches, and the bar trick
Hard case for bags, travel, the footwell. Pouch for a jacket pocket if the pouch is clean. The ‘one arm in the collar’ move is how temples go wide. The top-of-head park is how they fly off in a door.
